FAQ
New to Muse or just have a few questions? We've got you. Here's everything you need to know before you walk through the door, and a few things you'll be glad you asked.
I'VE NEVER DONE PILATES BEFORE. WHERE DO I START?
Start with our Align or Foundations class, both are designed with beginners in mind and move at a pace that lets you actually understand what you're doing. We'd also recommend arriving 10 minutes early on your first visit so one of our instructors can meet you and get you set up. You don't need any experience.
You just need to show up.
DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO TAKE A CLASS AT MUSE?
Not at all. Every class at Muse can be modified to meet you where you are. Our instructors are trained to offer options at multiple levels within the same class, so whether you're just starting out or coming back after a long break, there's always a version of the work that's right for you.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING?
Form-fitting, breathable clothing, think leggings and a fitted top. Grip socks are required in all classes and are available for purchase at the studio. Bring a water bottle and a small towel since our classes are heated.
Everything else you need is here.
HOW HOT ARE THE CLASSES?
Our studio is heated to approximately 90–95°F using infrared heat. Unlike traditional heaters, infrared heat warms the body directly rather than simply heating the air, creating a comfortable, restorative warmth that supports circulation, flexibility, recovery, and an effective sweat without feeling overpowering.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please cancel or reschedule your class at least 4 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation charge and allow another client the opportunity to book your spot. Cancellations made within 4 hours of class will be charged, and no-shows are subject to a $15 fee, though we understand emergencies happen and encourage you to reach out if special circumstances arise.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY OR PHYSICAL LIMITATION?
Please let your instructor know before class begins. Our teachers are experienced at modifying movements and working around limitations, but they can only help you if they know. For significant injuries, we recommend starting with a private session so your instructor can assess your needs before you join a group class.
HOW DO I BOOK AND STAY UP TO DATE?
Book directly through our schedule page or on the Mindbody app. Follow us on Instagram at @musehotpilates for class updates, schedule changes, pop-up events, and surprises, we announce things there first.
CAN I TRY A CLASS BEFORE COMMITTING TO A MEMBERSHIP?
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Drop-in classes are available for first-time visitors. Your first trial class $30. There's no pressure to commit to anything until you've experienced what Muse feels like for yourself.
